PingTool: Sending configurations

Send single objects or your complete object list to another user or another computer.

Imagine the following situation: You are working on a topic together with other administrators within your network, for example on a rebuild in the server or network area. You have created an object list in PingTool - manually, by importing or scanning - which you would like to make available to other administrators. You could save your configuration on a network drive and ask your colleagues to open it - or simply send them the configuration!

Send the complete object list

1. Select the “Send configuration” menu item in the 3-dot menu (...) or simply click on the corresponding button.
2. Specify a user or computer and click OK.

Send single objects

Select the objects to be sent and click on “Send only selected objects”.

Setup

1. Create a repository --> https://ping-tool.com/repositories-english.html
2. Create the subfolder transfer, to which all participants have change permissions.
